Entry 02 : Gaming > "Normal" Entertainment? HELL YE!

Posted by rookie[bbq*] in my blogGeneral

If some one would ever ask me "if you were to go back in time and pick a "sport" over e-sports?" my answer will be Never.

I'm sure gaming has become a passion for most of us here rather than a mere hobby but if you ever did think that Gaming is for Nerds, you'd better think twice. In our current world gaming is turning out to be quite the normal thing, I've got a colleague in my workplace who knows a lot more about gaming than I do (Q_Q, hurts my ego), people don't exactly go to gaming cafes and unwind over a casual game of Tekken etc they drop into a friend's place who has a PS 3 and enjoy a casual game of Burn out or Def Jam.

Professional gamers are a different breed of gamers altogether, they game with one goal/ambition to be the BEST. The casual gamers have a very simple reason to game which is basically to unwind and have a laugh about how Christie kicked Paul's ass or how one got rammed into the divider by a stupid AI Cop car in burn out. Completely different motives on both sides but the bottom line is that people are picking a new form of entertainment in our present world which is Gaming.

Make your own configuration

Posted by val in Counter-Strike

Hi guys.. I am sure most of you pros must be knowing this but just incase if you'll want to setup your own configuration. This is how it should be done. We normally have to change settings if we play counter strike at some other place not where we normally play.Like if you play from home usually but when we go out to play on Lan. We need to change the settings as per our requriments. So Instead of doin that just follow the instructions given below...

Step 1 - Open up a notepad.

Step 2 - Type your own settings

CS hack2

Posted by crazycreature11 in FM LaserFlash RemovalcrosshairsBox ESPAVDrawauto wallauto recoil

There are rumors about a few exclusive and private aimbots which appear to work with a proxy-type lucking technique rather than actual aiming, to make the screen’s movement even less visible. The mouse would be dragged near the enemy, and upon pressing the fire button, the bullet magically hits the head of the target despite the crosshair not being directly on top of it. While this would be very obvious with large FOVs, it would be almost impossible to notice with sufficiently small FOVs due to Counter-Strike’s often inaccurate weapons and inexplicable hits/misses, which do not make such hits seem impossible, except for their extreme frequency.

Auto Recoil: Automatically reduces recoil for each gun individually or sets it to the best pre-designated value.

Auto Wall: Automatically shows when a person can be shot through a wall using piercing ammunition.

Importance of Sound Sense

Posted by val in Counter-Strike

In Counter-Strike, sound is probably one of the most important things the game has to offer. There has been enough talking on the weapons, when and how to use them. Now I feel its time to talk about the importance of sound in the game. In my opinion the sound in CS is great.

You may have come across people mentioning "no sound" besides their nick. Its just the way to convey others that incase I goof up, u know I don't have sound. Often when we are dead in the game and when we spec others the minute the player goofs up in judging where the enemies are running for, the first question we ask them. "Dude! Do you have sound sense.???So in spite of knowing how to use the gun, I feel having sound sense is also equally important in the game. This is one of the biggest qualities in a Pro. All gud players judge exactly where the enemy is coming from. One of the reasons why people accuse you of hacking (specially in pub servers) is that because, you have good sound sense and they don't. Pro players know an enemy is coming their way even before spotting them so they set their position to hunt him down. While the noobs who spectate him (who doesn't have gud sound sense) accuse him of hacking.  In CS although the gun/grenade/radio sounds may make your blood pump faster, there is nothing like the sound of silence interrupted by a quick foot step or a clunky ladder to make your mouse grip tighten and your trigger finger a little more uneasy. I've seen many people killed because they were running around big clumpy boots making loads of noise and then *Boom* they're dead.Sound plays a very important role especially in a one on one situation when the bomb is planted and the T- guy is waiting for the CT to defusing and then he can easily pin him down. In this case I would suggest the CT guy if you doing a fake defusal so that the T could peep out and you would have a shot at him. Don't even make a slightest of sound after pressing the "E" button to defuse cause if you make sound after the fake defusal, T knows you aren't defusing so he will continue hiding.I remember initially when I started playing clan online, I would rush all the time inviting the enemies to easily locate my position and hunt me down to get "muftis". Due to such instances you get the tag as "Noob". So if you wanna become a pro make it a point to have a good sense of sound and also not to make sound when you are in a situation when u are alone and the enemies are more. I realized the importance of sound when I was specing a pro who had planted the c4@ a site in Inferno and was waiting for the ct to come. It was a one on one situation, the CT made all the noise in the world. He located the t who was behind the crates which were in the middle of the site. Since the CT was making ample of noise, The T was playing meri go round with him which finally resulted in "Boom". It was fun to watch the round but then I also understood the importance of sound from that time.So make it a point to develop good sense of sound and which will automatically improve your overall gaming sense.

Same Game New Rules - CS hacks !

Posted by crazycreature11 in noob to procs hacksaimbot

Ok so here’s some very useful information about the popular hacks used in Counter Strike. This is placed here for the sole purpose of making it easier to spot a hacker. If you know what to look for then it really helps.Hacks are sometimes confusing and hard to spot unless you know what they do and what you’re looking for. In this section they will be detailed to help you understand them more thoroughly.

Aimbot: Aimbots use the computer’s accurate knowledge of the enemy’s figure and aligns, and shoots automatically. Aimbots usually aim at the head, but some hacks have adjustable vectors to aim at different parts of the enemy body. Some have randomizing algorithms intended to make the identification of an aimbot user harder by spectators observing the player. In their most basic form, aimbots facilitate hitting the enemy player more accurately.

Late versions of OGC’s aimbot portion allowed for punctual aiming, where one hit of a button (commonly the fire button) would merely result in one single adjustment of aim, without any form of “slaving”.Modern, so called “LAN-Proof” cheats implement what is called charged aiming which is yet another improvement over punctual aiming. Punctual aiming mode is only active (charged) when a specific button is pressed shortly before the aiming is needed, and firing in turn empties this charge.

GAMING @ ADROIT-VNRVJIET-HYD

Posted by rizrmw in Untagged

a very dissapointing show by the organisers.that is what i can say here about this messy event.

me and ma frnz arrived thereto just get shocked by the config of the systems where even CS 1. lagged and cldn manage more than 50 fps. the computers sucked and the lan was equally worse.

the next blow was that the organisers had no idea about how the gaming event has to be conducted.they put thier own random rules and all bull**** ideas.

Music and Gaming

Posted by giggs in Untagged

A take on music and gaming.

A lot of gamers I know prefer listening to some hard rock or hip hop tunes while playing than to the game sounds. Why is this? I have pondered over this for some while now. The answer isn't quite so hard to find.

I myself like to listen to Disturbed or Korn while playing. My reason is quite simple: the hard notes, and the screaming seem to punctuate every movement, every gunshot, every kill. It sort of adds an element of thrill and brings adrenaline rushing out.

NFS @ IGC09-HYDERABAD

Posted by rizrmw in Untagged

hey folks this is just an overview of the igc09 nfs game conducted at the hyderabad -somajiguda gameplex on 4th-5th feb'09.

i first filled in the registration form in the second week of january and finally after 3 weeks i got a call from the zapak admins that i have my match on 4th feb-09.fine with that and i went at1 o clok .the scheduled time was 12 and still there was no sign of any games going on even at 1 o clok.the reason is that there are no completed profiles for playing the tourney and the best joke was that the cafe manager himself didnt have the admin password and thus we were stuck in there for more than 30 mins without doing anything.
