We are back and how

Posted by Neo in Live2ownGeneral

Hey guys, welcome back to Live2own.net. I am excited to say that we are back. First, let me tell you guys what we have gone through and what we have been doing for the past 6 months. Yeah, it's been six months, quite a long time.

The Live2own team went through a load of changes during these months. Metalkid ( Akash )and Deathseeker ( Karan ) went their separate ways. They were of the thought that gaming would not be their way of going forward. It's their thought so we ought to respect that. Now we have a lot of people joining us. You can check that out in the staff section. We met a bunch of people who showed us that there is a way ahead for Live2own but it has to be done in the right way.

So we started making some business plans, some models by which we can take gaming at a new level via Live2own. The gaming industry according to me is very complicated as we have different demands from gamers and different demands from the companies investing in gaming. For a company like Live2own who are filled with young entrepreneurs and gamers, it's been difficult for us to make and execute plans in a way that Live2own survives financially. Around July 2008, we met a couple of guys from Hyderabad i.e Ravi a.ka. IndianTiger and Sreenath who had some plans of their own to enter the gaming scenario. They had a unique approach which we thought is worth to merge with.

We formed a new company called GoLive Gaming solutions having Ravi as the CEO. We experimented with a lot of stuff as part of our research such as doing college seminars and workshops, talking to the corporate world about their view on gaming. It helped a lot to devise our future projects.

Life's not about Winning, it's about WINNING BIG and in STYLE

Posted by RaviIndianTiger in Untagged

I was watching a basketball match "Genpact vs Deloitte", two of the best teams in the TCS tourney we were participating in. Some of the Genpact guys played like pro's and were the spectator's delight. They put in 3-4 amazing pots and left us all spellbound. They wore headbands, were funky in their looks and behavior. At first they looked like extra-cutting dumbo's but once they started in the game there was no stopping them, and they just loved to entertain.

Later in TV I was watching Sehwag bat rip apart the Pakistani attack and realized that for him too it was important to entertain the spectators (y else would he go for boundaries and sixers when he's nearing 200? or 300 for that matter). He felt like a champion only when he did things his style, for him it was not just winning but winning in style that mattered.

I always felt two equal teams would bring out the best of players, maybe I am wrong. To give an extraordinary performance maybe one team needs to outclass the other completely. The players would be very confident, and try out different things when they know that they are definitely going to WIN.

In fact I was often in the mindset that "playing and enjoying the game" is more important than WINNING. To win consistently, we have to out class our opponents which means that we possess extraordinary skills or our teamplay's too good and this can be achieved only if we put in necessary hardwork, practice and of course "the grey matter". We actually help raise the level of the game and once it reaches great heights the REAL THRILL begins.

Its like watching Brazil and France play a soccer match or L_Clan players fight it out with BSK for the AGE crown

Entry 01 : 6 years of my gaming life in 1000 words

Posted by rookie[bbq*] in Suffering (LOL)myblogLifeCounter-Strike

This blog is as simple as the title says it is. Everyone has had that starting point with which they started their gaming "career", it might've been as simple as their addiction for Pacman or Bomberman or some game it doesn't matter which one and you end up going to a popular gaming cafe or "Reliance webworld" like most of my friends did :P.

My so called "gaming career" began with the Halo tournament, I don't even remember which year it was held in but I think I still got a souvenir from that tournament lying around here. It was my first time ever that I took part in a LAN tournament, this is when I met most of the "pros" back then I used to be awestruck about the way they fragged. This tournament was in Reliance webworld, before I realized this place became my hang out and I emptied my debit card in this place.  I still remember every one out there used to recharge for 500 bucks a week and the wise crack web guides never told me about that offer so I used to recharge for like 350 rs x 2 every day T_T.

Soon I saw the making of a bunch of CS clans ,CS/UT were quite popular those days, TM from hyderabad were quite good back then but as always they were good only in hyderabad. They had the same problem as most of the decent teams have now, No exposure to other teams, even though clans face each other online it isnt even close to the same as facing each other on lan. Your hand might shiver due to the adrenaline rush or that same rush might help you scream your lungs out and give away mind fuck reflex shots.
